The Best Movie Posters of 2024

Vintage sexploitation inspired posters for Sean Baker's Palme d'Or winning hit, displayed at Anora merch pop-ups. To celebrate the release of Anora, we invited Sean to take over our Instagram account for the month of October to share some of his favorite posters from his personal collection, this one inspired the direction for these alternate poster designs. From top to bottom: the official one sheet for Guy Maddin's G7 satire Rumours, released by Bleecker Street; Henri Rousseau inspired artwork for David and Nathan Zellner's Sasquatch Sunset created for the French release of the film; Niclas Larsson's comedy Mother Couch, released by Film Movement / Memory; the one sheet for the new restoration of György Pálfi's Hukkle (2002) with artwork that's as delightfully strange as the film, released by Dekanalog. Walijewski also created an incredible alt poster for last year's Best International Feature Oscar winner The Zone of Interest.

Two by Brian Hung. Adrian Curry named Brian's poster for Hong Sang-soo's A Traveler's Needs (top) the best movie poster of the year. One of our favorite movie posters last year was Brian's one sheet for the restoration of Shinji Somai's 1985 film Typhoon Club. This year, Brian created the poster for another Somai restoration, Moving (1993). Released by Cinema Guild.
